Taken directly from the Mopar website and shown for your convenience:

Looking to add adrenaline to your vehicle’s muscle? Now you can with one of Mopar’s Hemi crate engines. In the time it takes to build an engine from scratch, you can be at your favorite drag strip pounding on the competition. Mopar is ready to reintroduce three new, retooled classic Hemi crate engines (426, 472, 528) and one all-new drag racing and pro street
Hemi crate engine (540). Each gives you traditional raw, in-your-face Hemi performance and the convenience of a bolt-in package. “These engines represent the ultimate in pure, authentic muscle, ” said David Hakim, Portfolio Manager, Mopar Performance Parts. “Whether on the street or on the strip, Mopar Hemi crate engines let you drop in the power and go. ”You choose the power you desire — from 465 horsepower up to 900+ horsepower. And you’ll race assured knowing that all Mopar Hemi crate engine blocks and heads are manufactured from new tooling with many updates and revisions that ensure the highest quality castings possible. The Mopar Hemi 426, 472, and 528 crate engines feature thicker main webbing on the block for durability, rigidity and strength. Improved tolerances ensure all components tighter to provide increased performance. The cam has also been revised to offer more usable horsepower and torque, as well as better drivability. In fact, the 426 Hemi crate engine produces more horsepower than previous 426 Hemi productions — up to 465 horsepower. All four new engines are engineered to run on premium gas station pump fuel, so you get convenience plus uncompromising power. Mopar Hemi crate engines are turnkey alternatives to building an engine from scratch, and they’re applicable to a variety of vehicles — from classics, to dragsters, to today’s modern muscle machines. Try one on for size.

Mopar 426 Hemi® crate engine — 465 Horsepower, 486 ft.-lbs. torque Originally introduced in 1964 as a racing engine, the legendary 426 Hemi first appeared in 1966 street B-body Dodges and Plymouths, such as Dodge Charger, Dodge Coronet 500, and Plymouth Belvedere. Vehicles with numbers-matching, original Hemi engines are a rare find today; if you find one, they can be expensive. Now’s your chance to put a brand-new 426 Hemi in your classic vehicle and grab the advantage of the latest in production technology and Hemi power. This Hemi crate engine puts 465 horsepower and 486 ft.-lbs. of torque under your right foot. For maximum performance, Mopar Performance recommends the use of a 750 cfm Holley carburetor and 2.00" header primaries. Stick a Mopar 426 Hemi® crate engine in your classic car and get ready to feel the power.

Mopar 472 Hemi® crate engine — 525 horsepower, 540 ft.-lbs. torque Mopar Hemi crate engines are designed for placement in just about any vehicle. Beef up the power in your favorite muscle car or street rod, with a 472 Hemi crate engine. With increased displacement and power, the 472 Hemi is an impressive step up from the familiar 426 Hemi. It gives you a noticeable 60 more horses at your command. Mopar Performance recommends the use of an 850 cfm vacuum secondary Holley carburetor and 2.00" exhaust header primaries.

Mopar 528 Hemi® crate engine — 610 horsepower, 650 ft.-lbs. torque Bigger truly is better! Mopar Performance has developed a huge 528 Hemi® crate engine that cranks out a whopping 610 horsepower and 650 ft.-lbs. of torque! For maximum performance, Mopar Performance recommends an 850/900 cfm Holley carburetor and 2.25" headers be used. Drop one in your vehicle of choice and blast off.

Mopar 540 Aluminum Hemi® crate engine — 650 to 900+ horsepower The Mopar 540 Aluminum Hemi crate engine is built for pro street or the racer who wants the horsepower and durability of a race engine and the drivability of a street engine. Available in carbureted or supercharged versions, it can produce 900+ horsepower, depending on induction.

I think you would prefer the 392 small block. It produces about the same numbers. 525hp & 510 ft-lbs of tq, while weighing less.

question for the gear heads...dunno if this is a tranny, or engine question...i've saw on mopar.com that you can get new cylinder heads, and the 392 cam (which is supposed to fit in the 6.1L)....does this add too much power to the engine? will the tranny handle it? I dunno...i feel like chrysler wouldn't put it up there offering if to the 6.1L if the tranny couldn't handle it....seeing as there is NO manual for an srt-8 vehicle....any thoughts?

There will be a 6.1L with a manual on the latter 2009 Challengers.

So what you're implying is that you paid MSRP (or probably more) for a "limited production" - numbered dash plaque 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 ............
and you want to swap the engine out for a 6.4L 500+ hp motor?
Why?
