Default Parts that Don't Fit

Challenger Fans, If you have puchased any parts for your new challenger and they didn't fit--or--fit correctly, please be specific and POST here!! example--I bought a SLP dampner for my 5.7 hemi-(2009) the dampner will fit the 5.7---2004-2008 and 6.1 hemi 2009--BUT WILL NOT fit the 5.7 hemi 2009--evidently the engine in the 2009 hemi 5.7 is different and the 25% under pulley IS NOT AVAILABLE yet according to TECH at SLP company. I didn't find this out until a bunch of work and time was spent taking off the stock dampner and noticing the visual difference. If any of you have a similar experience--please share--maybe we can save fellow members some headaches

This could be a real good section for stopping problems before you purchase. Thanks for the post and sorry you found out the hard way. So if you have a problem with a part that is designed for our cars and they don't, please post.

Thumbs up Parts that don't fit

Thanks for the support Lear4406--I agree--this is a good post to Help members who are buying products for their Challenger. It is not ment to be a complaint dept. It is ment to help those who want to make improvements or personalize their car and know which parts fit and fit correctly or can be modified to fit correctly. I still want a 25% underpulley from SLP--it's just not available yet for the 09' 5.7 hemi. Cfan

Default Parts that don't fit--rear ends

Hey challenger fans, I've been doing alot of research on rear end gear swaps--alot of us want to get rid of the 3.06 gear--here is what I know for sure. The Richmond Gears DO NOT fit the Getrag rear on the SRT's--the 3.73 & 3.91 rears from the R/T 6 speed cars not only don't swap with the auto's rear--but the Diablo Tuner DOES NOT recognize those ratios so it won't tune. Also I'm pretty sure the number of splines on a 215mm is different than the number of splines on the 210mm rear --so if you purchase the 215mm for a R/T automatic, plan on buying new axles also.If anyone else would like to add info I missed --please do
