If the 340 is running good, then don't go through the expense of swapping to the 360.

what are you using the car for and what modifications have you done to the motor??

is the 340 original ot the car??

no its not the original. the engine has a complete lightweight rotating assy. from Eagle, .030 over, Lunati voodoo 552 lift, 292 duration cam, edelbrock TM5 Tarantula intake manifold, accel super pro coil, chrome 8000 rpm rev box from mopar perf. thats most of it. the car will be used as a street car that i will take to the strip occaisionally.

Stay with the 340. The 340 was more a racing orientated engine; whereas, the 360 was more intended for practical purposes. If you a larger engine, bore and stroke it.

The 340 is engine of choice for me. You have a good combo there and a very free breather. Allow the exhaust to flow and that 340 should spin right on up. If you want a bigger engine... Then stroker the 340. You can go over 400 cid and its cheaper than ever. But not cheap.

im running 8 to 1 pistons in my 340...528/284 cam, flowtech headers, late model (non magnum) 360 heads 188.160 valves (the smallest valved heads offered on mopar small blocks) edelbrock airgap intake, proform race carb, stock stroke, 30 over...and im making around 490-500 bhp.

the 360 is more of a torque engine due to the extra cubes, but the 340 is a GREAT engine.

what compression are you running? what heads? ive never heard of that intake manifold, and i only use mopar cams, so im not familiar with that lunati cam, but i know that the next step up from my 528 is the 557 mopar cam...ive considered going to the 557 cam. i believe that the mopar 557 cam likes a little more RPM than the 528 cam, so youll want a bigger stall if you want it to come off the line hard. my current build in the demon is using the step back from the 528, which is the 509...its a little more street friendly.
