70 Challenger T/A
Hello everyone
Im new in this forum and i hope that i can get some help for a "little" project. Im a computer graphic student with the specification in 3D modelling in Germany and i would like to create a realistc 3D model of a 70 Dodge Challenger T/A. What im looking for is for some persons, who own one and could support me with detailed pictures. This project will take about 1/2 year and i have to finish it in february. I will keep my questions in this thread so this will be a continously updated thread. This is importand for me, and its not just a sparetime job. This project will be evaluated and i really would appreciate your help. Thank you in advance. Greetings from Germany... Erce |
RE: 70 Challenger T/A
By the way: Has anyone a usermanual of a 70 Challenger T/A ?? Could anyone scan me such a manual?? Or does anyone know where i could get one pls?
Thx in advance... Erce |
RE: 70 Challenger T/A
I can't help you with the own's manual. I'll try and do some searching and see if I can come up with something. If you have any others questions, I would be glad to help if I can.
Good luck on the project. Whenever you complete the project, I would love to see finished result. Jeremy |
RE: 70 Challenger T/A
Hello Jeremy,
Thank you for your reply. Well indeed i need some pictures. The owners manual isnt that important, because i have found a quite good blueprint for the car. But if you can support me with detailed pictures i really would appreciate that. For your imagination i have a little pic for you of my actual progress of my project. Colour and Rims are just temporarily put in. So if the blue dodge in your post is yours, i could take that one for detailed work. Just let me know if that would be okay. Thanks in advance. RE: 70 Challenger T/A
Yes the challenger is mine, I can post you some links of pictures that I've taken. Although it is not a TA, but it does have same hood as one. Really the only noticable difference would be the 71 stripe down the side and color, but i'm sure you already know this.
I try and post those links today sometime. |
RE: 70 Challenger T/A
Yes i realized the RT Stripes at the side. But thats not so important. Important for me are detail pictures. When im done with the chasis, i will start with all the little detail work like the chrome-stuff on the hoodedges, the grill, the fuel cap, rims, tires probably interior. And thats where u could really help me! But thanks in advance for your pictures. Actually i need everything :) . .

RE: 70 Challenger T/A
Erce- I have literally hundreds of Mopar pictures from car shows from the past several years. I'm sure I have many T/As among them- I'd be happy to share whatever I have, if it helps.

RE: 70 Challenger T/A
Hello everyone,
I have a little update for you guys here. First of all, im not finished :( but i worked hard on the body to let it look very authenticaly. The old one was too round. I also made the hood and the intake in one piece so it looks more then the original one. I opend up the little intakes for the signal lights at the rear and the front. This night, i worked on the windshield areas and i hope i will finish the body over christmas. But i could need some special pictures: I need a detailed picture of the Fuelcover and a detailed picture of the emblems of the car. I know that not everyone here has a T/A but the regular Dodge emblems on hood, trunk fender etc. would work. And i need a picture of the rims, the original ones. Thanks in advance. That is absolutely gorgeous, Albeeno. Sublime was always one of my favorite colors on Challengers.

RE: 70 Challenger T/A
Hi everyone, thanks for the posts. @crazypete, if you didnt get my PM, yes i would appreciate if you could send me some detailed and close shots from the emblems, the rims, the rear and front lights, the frontgrill, the fuelcover and the doorhandles. Ive got two updates for you. I have finished the front and rear, but im not very happy with it, i could not see the details on the pictures in the internet, because they are not close enough.

RE: 70 Challenger T/A
I found a great site about Challenger T/As and 'Cuda AARs. Among other things, it provides all of the paint colors and codes, as illustrated by photos of the cars. See:

RE: 70 Challenger T/A
Hey Duke...I would also hit up Barry Washington at the T/A registry. I think its www.taregistry.com. He has a CD avail that has a lot of pictures of the lowest-mileage T/A known.
