Default 73 Challenger heater box - how does it work!

Hey there,

Does anybody have an idea of how the series of vacuum hoses and such work in the older cars to control vent selection, defrost, etc.? I know there's vacuum diaphragms that move various doors and flaps, but not sure where the actual 'air' or 'vacuum' to make them function comes from..

it comes from the engine, should be an entry point on the firewall just above engine
towards passengers side of the car.
if you arent familiar you really need a shop manual especially if you are having trouble
with it as there could be a simple vacuum leak or it could be the whole switch itself.

My 2014 Dodge challenger won't start. My younger brother drove my Car yesterday. She parked and was getting ready to leave 5 mins later when the car wouldn't start. It would not turn over. Put gas in it...
