Help identifying this Challenger

Hello,

I just found about this forum. I thought I d ask some help.

I was browsing the local ads, and came across this one. Apparently, it is a 73. It is an original complete car, matching numbers... Hard to believe, if only you knew the price ;)

I talked to the seller s wife, the guy s on vacation. She doesn t know nothing about cars, and I am desperate to get some more info about it. First, I need to know if it is in fact a 73. It as the sad face grille, so it is definitely a 72 onward. But it doesn t have the bumper guards... Maybe it is not original? I wish I could provide more information... The slant 6 was dropped in 73 right? That means a 73 must have either the base 318 or the 360 right?

Thanks to anybody who can give me some help.

David (sorry for the bad english, I m french).

If you can go back and get this information a lot can be uncovered about the car. Make it a point to do so and I will be happy to help with what I can... Cheers!!

Thanks, I appreciate it. Waiting from the owner to give me a call, so I can see the car in person.

You are correct, that its a 72 or up. Also the 72s have bumper guards and they incease in size with each passing year to 74. Fed mandated bumpers and Dodge just kept making them bigger and with more rubber:D I'd say that the car is a mix of 70 to 74 pieces and some that are just Dodge or Plymouth. Example would be the hub caps and gas cap. Looks to be mostly there from what I can see. Good luck and keep us posted on what you will be doing.
