0-60
How many seconds to 60 for the SRT and RT...anyone know, or any guesses?

RE: 0-60
I hope it is around 5 seconds with a 6.1L and hopefully faster with a 6.4L but since I am getting a manual.....it will depend on how I feal and the phase of the moon. LOL!

RE: 0-60
0-60 in the SRT8 6.1L 425HP HEMI Charger is supposed to be 4.9 - 5.0 seconds.
0-60 in the R/T 5.7L 340HP HEMI Charger is supposed to be 5.6 seconds. Both of these cars are using the 5-speed autostick, and the Challenger (in theory) should be a bit lighter......... I'd expect the SRT8 6.1L 425HP HEMI Challenger to go 0-60 in a solid 4.8 seconds with the 6 speed, and the 380HP 5.7LVCT HEMI Challenger to cover 0-60 somewhere around 5.2 - 5.3 with a 6 speed TREMEC (and a good driver). |
RE: 0-60
Awesome... hope I'm trailing in an RT in the 5s!

RE: 0-60
I test drove an SRT8 Charger and that thing seemed to just wanna get up and Go... It was nice... |
RE: 0-60
The April Car and Driver (and probably other mags) will have a road test of the 2008 SRT. I suspect the performance numbers should be very close to those of a Charger SRT. Since it will be the same 6.1 engine, a lot will depend on the Challenger's weight.
