any truth from this?

saw this on red letter dodge anybody hear anything about this ?

Straight from Brampton—

The reason for the delay, and yes Dodge there is a definite delay…is the simple fact that the engineers have all tuned this car beyond their expectations and the frame of the Challenger is twisting/bending because of the amount of torque

this could be a BIG problem.

I recall having read this post was addressed in RLD. The comment was this person may have old news. I am hoping the form/fit/function issue was addressed already. Of course, and on the other hand ... it may be a new issue! Wouldn't that be a whow stopper!

Hopefully BUDMAN will find out something for us today.

That doesn't make much sense to me since they're using basically the same LX platform as the Charger and 300, both which have the same set up (HP and Torque)....

Maybe I'm just completely out of it....

To date, we have heard of many reasons why the Challenger may be late. The rumer mill is runnin' at full speed......

IMO, this frame flex is probably not an issue. I can buy some of the panel fitment and shipping height. Remember the wheelbase is 4 inches shorter. The same ride height with a shorter wheelbase could create a problem loading the train.

Why didn't they have this problem with the test mules?
Did they try to skimp on something when they made the production cars?

RE: any truth from this?

Just an idea, and probably wrong, but maybe they are already testing the new engine on it and that's where they are having an issue. Instead of trying to deal with it later, they are getting it finished before they even put out any of them.

Another theory, maybe they know that people are going to bump up the HP and TQ on these cars, like Saleen, so they are making sure that people don't suddenly have complaints about this problem. It would, in all reality, be the person's responsibility because it would void the warranty at that point obviously. Now if they are setting up some deal with Saleen, like Ford with the Mustang where it doesn't void the warranty, then maybe they are making sure that they don't get these cars back where they have to fix all of them and have upset customer's that paid some good money for them.

As I said, probably not even close with either of these theories.
