Anything you DON'T like about the new Challenger
For me, even though it would be completely impractical, I would have loved if they had done the full grill with the mech headlight covers, a la the 69 charger.
Don't get me wrong, she's still a beauty, but I was curious about everyone's input on the stuff they don't like, no matter how minute

Wish the grill looked more like a 70 than a 71, I'm sure it won't be hard to find an aftermarket. I'm still debating whether I like the full red lense on the rear!

I'de be happy if my Chally could be an exact copy of the concept, but I know it wont be. They'll outfit it with the SRT wheels found on the current Chargers, and the exaust wont look anything like the concepts either, it will most likely be two round exits also. If there is one thing I could specify on mine though, it would be DODGE on the nose of the car also.

Im still mad about the Pistol Grip.. But the most important thing that bugs me is Independent rear has to go!!!!! Dana 60 is where its at. Im sure they will have aftermarket stuff but why independent?

so the just tweaked the heck out of the solid axle and did a pretty good job.
I prefer the independent because I am into road handling more than the drag or strip where the solid axle excels in performance and is lighter.
I wish they would take that damn RAM head off the front and put Dodge in its place.
The only other things might be racing cap, hood pins, rear spoiler, and keep the same concept wheels but just make them smaller.
We talked about some of this stuff before and still like my original list of 23 items:

Well, aside from the stupid, block-letter Challenger logo and pimpmobile wheels that I'm going to have to eliminate in favor of 1970-style badging and Rallye wheels, I actually wish the car was shaped more like a '70 -- in other words, not so thick in appearance. The gangsta profile looks OK on the Chrysler 300s and Chargers, but the Challenger should look more like a land shark.

RE: Anything you DON'T like about the new Challenger
I have an 88 Conquest TSI. It is independent rear wheel drive and I can tell you the handling is better when going around corners. I travel back and forth on I85 and I exit at a town called Easly. When I get to the end and it runs into Hwy 123 there is a long sweeping right hander. About 45 is as fast as you can go in a solid axle car. But I can get 65 out of it. I had a Mustang jumping me one time all the way down until we got to the right hander. This one was a 2000 something with Boss over the fender and I saw the road open up to no cars on the right hand sweeper and I put the hammer down. Now mind you I have taken this corner many times and knew exactly how fast I could go. The Mustang found out that day how fast he could go. And it almost was'nt very pretty. So if you like an all around better ride, you will like the independent better. For sheer straight line, then the Dana would be better. But I have a few cars that I use for that and so I want an all around cruiser. But again, you may have aftermarket support for that.

I would also like to see an autostick, shaker hood, and a 6.4 Hemi in 2009! I disagree that Dodge will drop the rectangular exhaust extensions- they were too much a Challenger trademark and DCX has promised to keep the styling of the production car as close to the concept as possible.
