Well, that's the tradeoff, but I'd get it fixed or you'll have years of putting up with it. Just a little advice... turn your radio down.

in responce too u, i never really turned it up all the way maybe to 21-23. its the only way to get the bass to sound loud enough. no thump at lower levels. this car needs dual woofers or a needs to be able to turn bass up with its own volume. vynle

No dash tear down. It will take them 30 minutes to install. Its the one in the very corner dash, drivers side? The same one that is used for the u connect commands. I had mine changed out and still feel it may be the channel also. It sounds much better when you move the EQ more towards the rears.
