Challenger hood scoops open!
While watching a TV show called Dream Cars 2006 about the Detroit auto show. They showed the challenger hood and to my surprise the small scoops on both sides of the hood open and closed quickly. I didn't know if you guys were aware of this and it may not be available on the production version but it was cool.
Because the challenger concept does not have a ram air system. The only purpose this would serve is to get cool air into the engine compartment, which is always good. I do not know how they open either. There must be a switch and I guess it is driver controlled not an automatic system. This is my first post. It is great to be here and I love the site. I hope that I can continue to help build the excitement about the Challenger Concept. http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1...rowd.4.500.jpg |

Yes, that fact was known here and it is believed the hood scoops are functional. There are pics posted here.

RE: Challenger hood scoops open!
Like I mentioned in a previous post, it is very possible you will not get the butterfly valves and the
scoops may look different because they are too low and there is too much of a pressure differential. What may happen is they raise the scoops a few inches above the hood without the butterfly. Kinda like you may not get the large tires because they are too big and currently rub the inside of the wheel well. Of course, my preference is to leave it the way it is but only if it works. Hopefully, we will find out soon. Gosh, any news would be good and it is getting boring out here. I am running out of ideas to help keep everybody interested. I am about to scream!
