Hi, I registered on the forums just for these pics I'm about to post. I'm actually don't know anything big about the Challenger other than reading in various car blogs. I looked up the biggest and best community for the car so I could share what I found.

So, I was riding around my bike this morning (first great weather here all summer for biking!), and I saw this on my way back to my house. I had rubbed my eyes and triple checked it. No doubt about it... I'm not sure when the release date is, but I heard that it was later this month? Anyways... notice the Michigan license plate. Must be owned by someone really high up in the chain there. I live in a Northern suburb of Chicago. I took a couple of more close-up and convincing shots. I didn't want to look like a creep standing there taking pictures, esp. because people were outside of their houses right in front of me.

That is what you call being at the right place at the right time. It is times like these that is reason I always have a camera in my car.

haha, yeah it reminded me of a bright, Chicago mustard yellow! Don't see too many yellows on the road now a days...

[8D] Anyhoo, yes, it was pretty awesome to see in person. I had only seen it at the Auto show when it was recently here in Chicago. It was definitely surprising to see it just randomly in its urban setting! I'm a German car lover ( @ BMW, particularly), but I can never deny the beauty of American muscle! I'm glad you guys enjoyed the few shots, it was my pleasure to share them! Can't wait to check back from time to time and see when all of you get yours!

 

a yellow challenger would be apperciated at my house!(mom's favorite color for muscle cars etc.)

 

My understanding is that all of these sightings have been preproductions driven by Chrysler executives but that since deliveries started last week that dealers will get them the 1st week in June and then customers will get theirs very quickly after that.

I guess we may see some real production cars this week on the roads.
