RE: This does not sound good for chrysler
Nothing new in this report.
When you can walk in off the street and buy a new Dodge truck for 53% off of the sticker amount, that tells me more about the sinking value of Chrysler.
No leasing program, very poor residual values - despite having some of the finest domestic vehicles in the market. JEEP is still king, Chrysler's minivans still hold 90% of that market segment, the new Dodge trucks are the best on the market, the Challenger is the hottest American car right now, and the Charger and 300 are the best value for a full sized sedan in the business. But - it all does not seem to matter, Chrysler has been dragged through the mud by Mercedes Benz and then sold off to a bunch of bean counters.
Lee Ioccoca said it right when he blasted Chrsyler's management for selling out to MB ten years ago. It was the beginning of the end of our beloved Chrysler.
