Default Has anyone else had to break hard as hell?

I was on US1 two days ago driving normally (i'm not much of a speeder , never had a ticket in my life) , and on US1 it's impossible to keep a one car distance (miami) , so two cars ahead the guy slams the break , and the guy infront of me had to as well and in result i had to hit the breaks pretty much opposite of WOT. They made an ugly noise but I had to do it to avoid collosion and injury ... anyone else had any similiar cases of morons on the road forcing unwanted maneunevering?

That's day-in-day-out driving in San Antonio. Doesn't matter if it's on the freeway or the regular streets. It's amazing how many bad drivers there are.

you talking about PCH 1?

cause thats seriously one of the worst highways ever when it comes to traffic behavior

but yeah, i had to do this the other day to avoid a deer.

make sure to have your rotors checked to make sure you didn't warp them or anything in the emergency stop.

Trev , how would I check this ? I looked at the rotors and no scratches or anything ... and it's been 2 days and i've had no problems should I take it to the dealer?

Rudy,
You would know if the rotors were warped. They would pulsate when you applied them. If they feel ok, they are.

I had posted a similar incident a couple months ago. Driver next to me made big swooping turn into my lane in order to swing a left turn, just missed clipping my driver's front corner.

I haven't had to in a panic situation yet, but I feel pretty confident I can out-brake most anything in front of me. It's the guy behind me I worry about.

I havent slammed my breaks, but I noticed my challenger breaks much better then my jeep, I've kinda learned to expect great breaking but the jeep (much older jeep) doesnt perform. so I hope it dont screw me.
