Has anyone on here actually received their car yet?
 

Kind of like the title says, I'm looking for reviews from REAL people on here that have received their Challenger SRT8s. How does the car compare to other performace cars you've driven/owned?

Dodge issued a thrity day moratorium, gag order until they could figure out how to build and ship the rest of them.

Exactly my point. I mean, I've seen one, but I've not heard from anyone on this site about what it's like to actually drive one of these things. Come on guys, somebody on here has to have received their car by now and done some burnouts or something.

There are several people on this forum who have gotten their SRT8 now.
I guess the car is just not that exciting to drive.

I purchased and picked up my 08 Challenger in Hemi Orange with all optons on 6-13-08. Been driving it for over a week now.

My only gripe so far is the fact that EVERYONE stops to check it out. Wants to talk about it, show their family and so on. When you are trying to hurry and get somewhere this can be a major pain.

BUDMAN, how did you manage to get in the railyard? I know my car is at the final rail yard destination, but I wasn't allowed to enter the yard. I can't even figure out what trucking company is taking my car for the rail yard to the dealership. I want to be at the dealership to see it role off the truck, but my dealer states that they have no way of knowing which specific trucking company will bring my Challenger. So, they have been no help as to if my car will show up tomorrow morning or Saturday. Any help?

At work one day and had the car parked so it was hard to see from the road. But this guy found it and checked out the car for 10 minutes. Came back later and brought 5 car loads of people. This is crazy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTQkyU2UzjE

I completely understand the rock star factor that the Challenger will produce right now. However, I was more interested in the daily driving habits of the car, power, etc.

I also have a 07 Charger Daytona RT in Sublime with a SLP Loudmouth exhaust. I had thought this car handled very well and was fast. Until I got my new Challenger.

The Challenger seems to just have so much power and handles more like it weighs 3000lbs. WHen I am driving around I feel like I am driving a very fast Muscle Car. Although I love my Charger it just doesn't feel the same.

The exhaust on the Challenger is no where near the sound of my Charger with the SLP but I plan on adding a new exhaust soon to bring out the sound.

I got my car 6/17 (hemi orange,loaded). I have put 258 miles on so far. The wow factor is incredible !!!. You can't hide it. Its a blast to drive. It drives, handles and I think it sounds great. Quiet just idling, but apply gas under load and it sounds great. I've been pretty easy on it so far for break in and have been averaging 18-19 mpg. The local dodge dealer has a big car show/party planned for tomorrow and asked if I would bring my car down. They hoped they would have one in for the show, but not yet. There going to work me some deals for parts etc.. It will be in the showroom roped off and locked. I'll try to get some pic's from the show and post.

Mike, congrats!! Everyoine that posts pics only make the waiting harder and harder but from the looks of the cars..and of course that smile..it is something to truly wait for. Good luck and burn'em down!
