How about a 7 Liter Hemi, i.e. 426 C.I.D.?

Just a thought...Wouldn't a 7 liter Hemi be around 426 C.I.D.? I'm sure that number is VERY familiar to everydody here. That would be a real coup for Dodge. Mustang brings back the GT500 (minus the 428/429 Cobra Jet engine).
Chevy is talking about a 500+HP Camaro. Why not trump them both with a genuine 426 Hemi and throw in a shaker hood to boot? A man can dream can't he!!!!

If 7 liters EQUALS 426 cubes, I'm no mechanic but sounds about right, that would be the automotive coup of all time, IMO. Anybody wanna chime in?...Great forum BTW. Mike

I posted this a long time ago but maybe this will help with the conversion.

I thought that when I first heard them putting the HEMI line in cars. 7.0L is about right with 426. If any difference it would be a 6.9L which they can pull a Ford and round it up just as Ford rounded up the 302 to a 5.0L when it was only a 4.9L. A 426 would be nice.
