Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
and averaged 25.4 mpg.Very well-built and comfortable road car.I did a search for this and didn't find any posts about this so here goes. When I unlock the doors,I hit the button a third time, and it lowers the windows until you let off the buttonI hit it once, twice, and hold it down.........mine is an SE and thought it may allow you let the inside cool down on a hot day. Also saw 3 Challengers on I-75 going south on a private hauler..........JB.

Interesting find... hadn"t heard about that. Will have to try it out. Welcome back from your trip! |
RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
That's a standard feature on SRT's for sure. See your owners manual.

RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
Looks like I may have to actually look through that book in the glove compartment.....

RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
The windows roll down a half inch or so when you open the doors and roll back up automatically after you slam them shut. It's because of the tight fit of the doors and lets air escape. (I found out about it before I got my car by something that was in a thread several months ago.) It happens even if the doors aren't locked. I never noticed it having anything to do with holding down the button a third time. I'll have to try that.

RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
They will roll all the way down if you hold the button down.....JB.

RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
Intrigued, I just went outside and tried that. The driver's side window indeed DOES roll down as Valkyrie said. But you have to click it once to unlock the driver's door, twice more to unlock the passenger door then hold it down on the FOURTH click. Pretty cool.
|
RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
Update: BOTH windows roll down on the fourth click.

Now he can actually take it for a drive... that is if he can figure out the whole starting and putting into drive thing... Its shaping up to be a pretty cool day... huh RG?? ;) |
RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
On the SRT8 you can setup the EVIC so both doors open with one click. Press the unlock button twice, then a third time and hold and both windows go down until you release the button.

RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
Mopar, in the Amazing Future World of 2009, it takes a week or so trying to figure out how to turn off the levitation device with the key fob just so the car settles to the ground long enough to get in it. :D
|
RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
This is becoming so involved, I may have to go back to using my key until I figure it all out!!

That's normal. The more often you do it, the easier it gets. Mine was difficult at first now it's a snap. I think the computer has to learn the command.

RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
Excellent time. I've done the 1,000-mile run from San Antonio to Des Moines, Iowa, numerous times. It generally takes 17 hours. I-35 is too well patrolled, particularly in Texas. ;)

The SE was a blast to drive........We dropped our lease on our 07 Impala and paid the penalty.Worth every dime we paid.Half the time we ran the air. Most of the people on the road saw this go by.........JB.

RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
SE with an SRT rear spoiler? I was under the impression many didn't like the SRT spoiler. I personally like the old go wing.

RE: Just got back from a 2000 mile trip........
OK, this is a good point to ask something I've been wondering. Can you guys with spoilers see them out of the rear-view mirror at all? If you can, I might consider adding one to my SE. It would make parallel parking a lot easier to be actually able to see the rear end. ;)
