Keyless go - Is it a go?

Can someone confirm that the R/T will have Keyless go? My dealer wasn't sure and I'm curious. :D

According to the 8 1/2" x 11" 2009 Brochure the 27J and 27M versions of the R/t will have Keyless Go.

No not bad 28J is 5.7 Hemi RT with 5 speed autostick if that's what you want.

27J is 5.7 Hemi RT with 6 speed manual. Both will have the keyless go.

27J, 27M, 28J, 28M will all have the keyless go feature.

I thought I read somewhere that the Manual (6 Speeds) could not / Would not get the Keyless go.... Which kind of made sense to me since the car may be left in gear.... That would make for an interesting show :)

You are getting Keyless Go confused with Remote start. Keyless go allows you to start the vehicle with the button on the dash as long as the key is inside the passenger compartment. Remote start is the one that allows you to start the car from about 300 ft away. And no, the 6-Speed will not have Remote Start.

RE: Keyless go - Is it a go?

This is a good question though, because on the dodge.com site to build a Challenger R/T, they make no mention of Keyless Go. That is not to say that they won't have it, but it seems a bit strange that the same people who make a point of listing "body color side mirrors" as special equipment wouldn't mention keyless go.

Then again, they pretend the 18" wheels come with Pilot Sport PS2 tires (which are not made in the size they list), so I don't take that builder site as gospel.

I have a couple documents that contradict each other.

1. 2009 Buyers Guide
Doesnt show Keyless Go as an option for R/Ts or SEs, only SRT8. Remote Start, however is available on the R/T and SRT8 with the automatic transmission.

2. 2009 Customer Preferred Code Guide
Shows Keyless Go is available on the 27J and 28J R/T Models as part of the AFC: Electronics Convenience Group. It is not available on the 27F and 28F Models.

Hmmmmmm, I guess we need to wait to find out lol. On the Canadian Dodge site it shows Keyless Go as an interior feature on the RT.

Either keyless or not, the procedure to avoid that "interesting show" on a manual transmission, is to have the clutch all the way in, in neutral and the brake on, then push the start button (twice) or turn the key. On an automatic, prior to pushing the starter, you must have your foot pressing on the brake.
