Made up my mind: the R/T it is
I've been planning on buying a Challenger for a while now, and I was debating getting the SE or the R/T. I really want a manual trans for the pleasure of rowing my own gears and so the wife can't drive it, and the SE would have been too wife-friendly. I mean no offense to the ladies, but my wife has put lots of bruises on my vehicles, and with the Challenger's huge blind spots, any excuse to not enable her in the driver's seat is good :-)
So I'll wait till the long Canadian winter is over, putting money aside in the meanwhile and go get an R/T 6-speed sometime in February. I'm still undecided between Inferno, Blue and Titanium for the colour. It appears my three favourites are the least popular.
Thanks to everyone on this board for sharing their stories. I'll be hanging around for sure to hopefully share with you my story next spring!

After owning a 2009 R/T for seven weeks now, I agree that it is the best value.
The gearing with the 6 speed will give you much more power than the automatic.
Sometimes, I think my engine is asleep with the automatic. I have to really get on it, to get the car to perform.

I too am waiting until early Spring to get a CHallenger. I can only afford the SE though. I have seen the Inferno Red, Torred and Deep blue in person. I want the Inferno Red. I'd get the manual tranny if the SE offered one.

Thanks... This winter will be a long one
On a related topic, I've been reading that the RT doesn't offer an ESP full off function like the SRT does. I was under the impression (from the Dodge website) that both the RT and SRT had ESP full OFF. Which one is right?
