It May Be Sooner Than Later....

Just went to the Dodge.com site, looking around for a "get a brochure" link, and clicked on the "Build Your Own" tab.
Guess what appeared in the drop-down list?
'09 Challenger

The link threw me to the '08 Challenger, BUT
at least the '09 is there now.
The link for the '09 Journey worked, SO...

It's just a matter of time, folks.[sm=happy046.gif]

I am looking for some diffferences/improvements, but they can't be that good or people will cancel the 2008 orders.

I will be waiting for 2009.5 models. ;)

My concern is that the price for the challenger well be like the ford shelby gt 500. They are still going for over MSRP. I just hope the camaro comes out soon so that i can buy my challenger at a reasonable price.[sm=roll.gif]

I am counting on that as well.

I doubt that would happen. If anything it would just cut down on the price gouging. I'd say 99% of people who put down an order on an 08 won't wait for an 09 no matter what.

Really.. I was just on there yesterday and I played around with that function but didn't see it at all! Cool!

I talked to my dealer last week and they said they would take a deposit for a '09 but didn't have any info on them. They also told me they would get it for me for MSRP. (I'm still hoping to use our family’s Chrysler discount but I don't see that working).

I've heard rumors that the manual will not be out till "Mid-year" but I don't know if that means '09 or '09.5

Not any difference at all really over the 08's. No different color schemes or engine and tranny updates so wait until midyear before building your own at Dodge.Hopefully by then they will have different things as far as options goes.

I believe Chrysler has limited their family discounts across the board. I used to get to use my friends green sheet discount, but now I can only get friends and family. It will probably be awhile before you can use any of them on the Challenger. :(

It will happen. The only way I see it not happening is if they stop making the Challenger before it can. No one ever thought it would happen on the Charger, it has and now they are trying to give them away with discounts. No one throught it would happen on the Mustang, I got it one year after the car came out. The dealer was saying they didn't know if they could do it, but they turned around and did it. With the way they are desperate to make money these days, once a car falls out of high demand, they want to sell it and try to make some money on it, even if it's not as much as they want. We'll see if this car last long enough for that to happen though since the government is on a mission to kill these cars, trucks and SUVs, but leave the semi alone.
