If they could really match up two cars and call it the final. I would think the SS Camaro with 426 hp and a 6-speed against an SRT-8 Challenger 425 hp and a 6-speed. I would think it cames down to drivers race. Because of the 300 lb difference in the SS being off set by the 3.91 gears in the SRT-8. I have heard from alot of GM boys who think that because they have 300 lbs and 1 hp that makes the SS the clear winner. Not so. These cars are 12.80 and 12.90 1/4 mile runners with ideal track conditions and a really good driver. So what they think over on the Chevy forums and what is true are 2 different things. I have heard the Challenger called lots of names (usually implying that she is fat) over on the Chevy boards, but some guys give credit where it is due. I wish the GM boys and girls the best as they recieve their rides in the next few months, have fun and be safe. 426 hp is nothing to sneeze at. Learn your cars before having fun in them.

Of course there is really one big problem. You couldn't race the Challenger and the Camaro, because .. well.. you can't get a Camaro. It is kind of amusing about this whole "contest"; how can a car that you can't buy even be in the race?
It's really going to come down to a Ford, Dodge and Chevy popularity contest. It has nothing to do with the cars. Dodge is and always will be a smaller selling car. That is why old Challengers and 'Cudas sell for so much more than Camaros and Mustangs.
