It Never Gets Old!

It Never Gets Old!
Saturday morning, I was gassing up my 2009 Challenger SRT at the local Sunoco station on my way to my son's MAPS soccer game (67 miles away). During the 5 minutes that I was there, two drivers walked up to admire my car, a passing motorist yelled "throw me the keys," and a woman started taking cell phone photos of my car. I have had my Challenger for 15 months and it never gets old!
However, on the down side, I dropped my 15-year old off at a party later that night and his friends all commented about how great my Mustang looked! I guess that you can't blame them, due to the scarcity of Challengers on the road and the complete lack of advertising by Dodge.

Traffic Comment
The other day, at a traffic light, a guy in a car two lanes over hollered "what's its top speed?" I said 173 mph, and he responded, "Nice!" The comments and stares keep coming!

Let me tell you a story of my first long trip 2 days after getting the BEAST.
Now you will have to keep in mind that my wife was not "HAPPY"(the put it realy mildly)
that I came home with this car.
We were on our way to her girfriends suprise party ( in silent mode)
We were stoped at a light before hitting the express way
a group of harleys went by all giving the thums up . (so cool)
We hit the express way & car after car would slow down next to us, some taking pix with cell phones.
She said " are you fu** ing kidding me "
I had to point out to one guy that he was about to rear end a semi
Cool yet at some times dangerous. (but still cool)
I parked far away from the event . no mention of the car at the party.
GET THIS>>>
She told me to pull the car around & pick her up in front of the resturant.
oh yea, park it in front of the windows!
at one point on the way home she said lets roll down the windows to let you fans see you. LOL
Now after a few more trips I think she is warming up to the car now.

And don't think it's going to change any time soon
Took my son to the airport in my purple SRT8 Challenger the other day. A girl decided to pass, just to give me a big smile and a thumbs up. Got all kinds of rubber-neckers down the highway. Stopped for gas on the way home, and just as I got back in the car to leave, this guy comes out of the store and stops just outside the door, looks at me and gives me a thumbs up with a, "Man, that's friggin' awesome."
I think we better get used to it. After all, every other car out there is just a Chally-wanta-be.
