newb question and i've had the car almost a month.

When I got the car I was told to alaways have the ESP on and i'm just curious ... if i'm ever at MOROSO or a track .. do I turn this feature off and the car will smash harder ? I alaways have ESP on and have never really gone over 100. And i'm curious what a good explination for ESP is. This is the first v8 i've owned so I don't know about lots of the stuff on my sRT.

I just figured out the top speed ... does this only record when in digi dash?

I'm curious what a good explination for not taking the ESP off or going over a 100??

You have some explaining to do Mister.

Electronic Stability Program (ESP) aids the driver in maintaining vehicle directional stability in severe driving maneuvers on any type of surface. It uses signals from sensors throughout the vehicle to determine the appropriate brake and throttle adjustments for directional stability of the vehicle.

....and it only records top speed when on digital...and hit the right arrow to clear....

To expand on Cuda's excellent answer, ESP is an electronic nanny that keeps you from getting too crazy with the car. If it senses you sliding, spinning the wheels excessively, or otherwise making hooligan-like maneuvers, it will apply brakes to individual wheels to straighten the car out, and/or cut throttle response. This is good in that it keeps you from doing something beyond your capability as a driver, and crashing. It is bad in that it limits your fun. So if the situation calls for maximum safety ESP on. Maximum fun calls for ESP off.

A highly trained driver will make faster laps around a track with ESP off. A newb might be faster with ESP on. Know your limits, choose accordingly. For drag racing you'd probably want it off.

So far I have seen a tenth better in my 0-60 with ESP on

So when doing a 0-60 do I just WOT the second the light turns green ? Is this the proper way to get the best time ? Or put the pedal half way down then smash it ?

depends on how sticky things are...if tires are nice and hot ..good pavement....stab it
when tires are cold...caution...

My burnout method is long, smokey and reckless :-)

If you are asking about ESP. Turn it off
