I was at a movie last night, a porno but thats another story, and the trailer they had was for GRINDHOUSE.

As dodge fans we have to go. One of the main cars in it appears to be a 72ish Nova SS but the other cars are a 71 white Challenger just like the one in VP. The other bad ride is a 68 blk Charger. [&:] The Chally has some really cool stunt scenes.

 

You know you have it bad when watchin' hot rod movies gets your motor going (if ya catch my drift).

 

I went to movie site that shows trailers and paused the picture on both Dodges. 1969 black Charger and a 1970 Challenger. It seems to be a mind set to make a black Charger a bad guy car, they seem to play the role alot. And the white Challenger as a good guy car. I like both cars and will see the movie simply to see the cars. Most likely on DVD. I watched Natural Born Killers without a clue what the movie was about, just to see the Challenger I heard was in the movie. What a waste of time the movie was. And to only see a few sec. of the car.

 

In Bullitt, the Charger was black and the guys in it were bad.

I heard about Natural Born Killers and didn't watch it because I heard it was bad.

I do own both of the Vanishing Points on DVD. While I watched the movies, I was building the Revell kit model
of the White Challenger in the movie. The parts inside the car are plastic but the body is metal.

I don't normally build kits, but I just had to build this one.

I have that model also and a lot of VP collectables. I have both movies on DVD and the sound track on CD. I just recieved the license plate OA-5599 Colorado in the mail. The movie is a classic to say the least. I own a large selection of car movies on DVD. I also collect stuff from American Graffitti. It is strange how Dodges and Plymouth get cast as the badddd cars. But also with Nash Bridges and the new Dodge Chargers in all the cop shows it nice to see them cast in the good light. As far as Natural Born Killers I would not watch it again. No redeaming qualities. The bad guys were real bad and the so called good guys were worse.

 

I agree, the crazy thing was the end of Vanishing point when they saved the 70 Challenger and instead wrecked a 67 Camaro.. They could have used something not as cool.. I guess then they didnt realize Honda and Toyota would be the best selling shit cars on the market in only 30 years.

 

That is cool! Are you planning on using it or was it just some collectible merchandise you bought.

 

I plan on using it for car show. We have an active car show area. You can go to one any pretty Sat. and on Wed. and Thur. during the week. They are cuise ins and car shows. the community is behind them 100% and they come out by the hundreds. Churchs set up food stands and live music is offered. And good time is had by all.

 

Very interesting how in certain parts of the country it is a big thing, but in other parts it is non-existent.

The movie Blade had him driving a sick 69 Charger, black of course. Not a very good movie, but I have watched repeatedly for the few scenes with the car.
