Order your Challenger?
I have noticed that most Dodge dealers ordered their 2007 SRT Chargers fully "loaded."
The following is an example of what I found on dealer lots: 2007 SRT Charger: Base Cost (includes destination & gas guzzler tax)- $38,695 Tor-red Paint- $ 225 Option I (AC dual zone)- $ 675 Option II (Kicker stereo/alarm)- $ 845 Option III (Nav system)- $ 2,355 Side Air Bags- $ 390 Sun Roof- $ 950 Rear Seat Video- $ 1,150 Total Cost- $45,285 "Friendly" dealers in New Jersey checked off every possible option and ordered cars with $6,590 in options. This of course will maximize their profits at the buyer's expense. In addition, the lucky buyer will also pay an addtional $461 sales tax (@7%)! For what you are getting $38,695 MSRP is reasonable. But who needs almost $7,000 in options that will not make your car go any faster or look any better? I will definitely try to find a dealer where I can order my Challenger (probably 2009) with the options (if any) that I want. ;) |
RE: Order your Challenger?
Nav system is a waste for most people. I got it in my 300C and not worth the price especially since mobile phones now have GPS services.
Rear seat video in a Challenger? "Kids, don't sit so close to the TV set!" "But Dad, we can't help it back here!" |
RE: Order your Challenger?
Nav system is a waste for most people. Garmin with the females voice that give you direction is awesome. If you do not travel, it is a waste but even in my own town I can put in a street address and it take me right to it. One time I took a 12 hour drive from Texas to New Mexico and it took me right to the house in the mountains and never had to pull a map. I just trusted the ladies voice. LOL! |
