RE: production info
WOW !! I work on the assembly line at DaimlerChrysler Brampton Assembly Plant, and as of 6:30 am on Saturday we haven't heard of anything " official " regarding the Challenger. The only new details on the assembly line are the "new" retro paint colours on some of the Chargers..and they look awesome. Yes we are hoping to get the Challenger soon, we sure could use the good news !!!!!

RE: production info

RE: production info
Well, to offer a full range of colors, Dodge will have to go from the Sublime to the Ridiculous. ;)

The source, employee of the plant.

RE: production info
Those numbers sound pretty light. I am no expert in auto manufacturing (do cars generally get produced on one line or multiple?) but I would think we would see much higher production numbers. I hope the rumor is accurate...obviously it will get built somewhere.

RE: production info
I asked Dr. Z about production numbers and here is the response:
Dear Greg: Thanks for contacting Dr.Z. Your message has been forwarded to us for response. Thank you for your recent email regarding the 2008 Dodge Challenger. The all-new Dodge Challenger will make its debut as a 2008 model, in the 2008 calendar-year. True to both its historical and modern concept car roots, the 2008 Dodge Challenger will be offered as a two-door, HEMI V-8 powered, manual-transmission, and rear-drive coupe. DaimlerChrysler has yet to announce the pricing, product specifications or volume projections for the 2009 Dodge Challenger. More information should become available to us as well as being posted on Dodge.com closer to the official release date of the Challenger. We encourage you to stay in contact with us at Dodge.com and your local Dodge dealership for future updates. |
