Default Question , need some help from a fellow 08 owner.

Can someone please tell me if there is supposed to be space at the bottom of the lenses in the dash ? (mph , temp , rpm's) I am thinking this could possibly be my rattle. Someone told me to look there and there is indeed space on the bottom. I'm going to the dealer monday anyway but maybe this could save me and the dealer some time.

THANKS!!!

No gaps. Doesn't move any when I touch it either. It will probably take them 15 miles to test that for ya.

I think the shop manual lists that as a 16 mile diagnosis...

Oh, they will only go 15 miles, but the odo is going to show 16, if you know what I mean...

Good info Rudy... I drove the car tonight and just waited to hear the rattle. Drove about 100 miles and nothing... then it started. When it did I placed two fingers on the bottom ledge of the tach bezel and applied a slight downwward pressure. Rattle stopped. Removed fingers... rattle resumed. Applied pressure... rattle stopped.

It is the bezel around the gauges. Now I think I can communicate that to the dealer and it will probably be an easy fix. Thanks Rudy!

NO Problem brother !!!

I was advised by someone to look at the lenses becuase this is a possible I/R rattle or I/P

the guy was getting a little techincal but I understood what to look for and BAM ! There is space on the bottom of each circle ... this will be taken and fixed 2morrow =)
