Rallye wheels

I was trying to find one of the earlier threads where the subject of the new Challenger's wheels was brought up, but couldn't. Since I already intend to re-badge the '08 model with authentic 1970-model insignia (if DCX insists on using that stupid block-letter insignia, that is) and don't really like the modern wheel design, I was especially pleased to discover this Web link. Hopefully, the bolt pattern for the new Challenger will line up properly.

Now, if I can just find some F 60 series Goodyear white-letter tires.... I KNEW if I hung around long enough, the '70s would return.

RE: Rallye wheels

As far as I know, Wheel Vintiques manufactures Rallyes in larger size wheels (17"+). Someone else makes billet rallyes as well, like the ones seen on the Overhaulin' Challenger. I took the photos when the car was at Icon racing in Gardena, California.

Those would look so much better. I'm sorry but I don't like the SRT-8 rims on the Challenger. They don't match up with the classic look in styling, they look too big, and I don't like 20 inch rims that much. I would love to have a 16-17 inch rallye wheel.

It would be cool to see some Photoshops rendered with different wheels only. I know there are some websites that you can pick out a car and change the wheels on them online to see what they would look like. Doubt they have the new Challenger as an option though.

Any of you computer whiz guys up for the "Challenge"? (Couldn't resist)[8D]

I'll take body-color steel wheels with "dog dish" centers. And of course, WHITE LETTER TIRES. Nothing lower than a "60 series"tire.
