Just curious if anyone has ordered a red SRT8? Im looking at pix or RTs and they do look VERY nice. A SRT8 in Tor red with no stripe looks very clean and sexy.

I chose every option, including the 6 speed manual trans (I remember when you didn't have to pay extra for a stick shift). Correction, passed on the sun roof and did not delete the hood stripe (another extra cost to delete...go figure).
No additional dealer mark up, just MSRP at $44,425. Delivery in November.

They make you pay extra to REMOVE the hood stripe? Are you kidding me?

Personally, I think it adds character. Being able to see the carbon fiber construction increases the appeal.

I personally think the red looks really sharp from the pics I have seen. Would probably be my second choice too.
As for the stripe delete cost... I would imagine it would be a lot of work to remove that thing...

"Yupper. I seem to remember it was less than $100, but you still have to pay.

They're just stickers. Anyway it's still pretty rediculous because they have to ship them to another place to get the stripes put on. Not only do they not have to pay for the decals, they don't have to pay for the gas to get the car to another place for striping. Or pay the people who stripe it. If it was exposed carbon fiber like the concept I'd say ok maybe, since they'd have to use more paint. I'd buy it with them and peel them off myself.
