Default Sales Must Be Drying Up With These Markups

First off I live in Connecticut and inquired about ordering a 2009 R/T a couple of months ago on the Dodge website. I listed three dealers in my area. The other night I get a call from a salesman out of Texas asking if I was still interested in purchasing one. How he got my number I don't know but I figure the Lunitics that are paying a Premium must be drying up.

I went 220 miles....You do not have to buy car local. Freight would be about $1000 dollars.
The dealer in your area will take care of warranty work.

We live in Richmond VA and got my car in Boston MA, 720 miles, but the price and car were right. As the 09s hit the dealer the price on the 08s will come down

It's not a coincidence that SRT production is being held...

no...dealers are stuck with 08's all over the place (cerbus failed to mention demand was due to dealers ordering 20 srt's at a time)...at some point discounts on 08's will be offered...i still believe it was a huge mistake to not have the 6 speeds available upon introduction

I still think it's a mistake not to offer a stick on the SE.

ORIGINAL: DSkippy

I still think it's a mistake not to offer a stick on the SE.

I think they simply didn't have a stick in their parts bin for the SE. The Tremec/Viper 6-speed used on the RT and SRT is likely too heavy-duty and would have robbed too much horsepower, leaving them to design a new stick tranny for the SE model alone (where else could they reuse it? Charger?). What I don't understand is why they didn't use the Charger/300's 5-speed Autostick.
