Surprising and Pretty Cool!

What Your Car Says About You: a bit surprising.

Auto Pacific's data shows that the Dodge Challenger is winning buyers too young to remember the original 1970-74 Challenger.

So much for Retro..........
The fact that more Gen X and Gen Y buyers like the Challenger gives you hope that the younger generation has not brought into the Gore global warming BS.......
(Also, it shows that they have good taste, and are perhaps just a little tried of the ricer crowd)

Dodge Challenger: The transcendent pony car

The Dodge Challenger looks more like its original than the 2010 Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro. According to Brinley, the Challenger appeals to Baby Boomers who like styling and power. But almost 30 percent of Challenger buyers are Gen X or Gen Y. Surprisingly, this beats out the Prius, a more forward-looking vehicle; only 18-percent of its buyers are Gen X or Y.

Auto Pacific's data shows that the Dodge Challenger is winning buyers too young to remember the original 1970-74 Challenger. "All ages stop and stare at this car," said Bell. "Especially when it's in Hemi Orange, from old-skool Hot Rodders to the Import Tuner crowd." This wide appeal makes pegging the Challenger owner more challenging.

I am 31 years old and love my new Challenger R/T Classic in B5 Blue. It gets attention everywhere I go. A lot of people said they like the Hemi Orange until they seen my in B5 Blue. Now they want a blue one.

People stop and look, be it old or ricers or just the common young person. Have been asked by a couple of my seniors if my car was old or a new one.

Pure awesomeness need not appeal to only one age bracket. :)

I think that anyone surprised by the fact that young people like the Challenger are forgetting who muscle/pony cars were made for in the first place. Hot styling + big power = happy young hooligans.

Heh, heh. Comparing the Challenger to a Prius? OMG, the Prius is the ugliest car made (well one of). There is only one reason to buy a Prius, mileage. And even that feature is getting beat by Volkswagon. My sixteen year old son has gained a great deal of admiration for classic muscle cars and loves modern muscle. The Challenger is his favorite of course.

Anybody see the latest Dodge commercial? Starts with animation of scribbling in a note book like you did in school. It features the Challenger the word Challenger actually spoken! Somebody find a link, I've been trying, this one is good!
