Default TC-2000 Tricare Electronic Rust Protection?

Ok, How many of you are installing this Tricare Option on your new Challenger? Is it worth it? What about the paint sealant?
I'm not familiar with this product, is it proven? My dealer wants to know.

I wouldn't waste my money on it. Cars in the 70s were rust buckets. Now, with modern primer/sealant techniques (and accompanying warranties), it is very rare to see a car with rust, even after 15 years of use.

Agreed. This is an easy buck for the dealers, and unless you REALLY neglect the finish on the car, is completely unnecessary.

Who here plans on neglecting their car?
Better question is "how long will you go between washing and hand-applied hard-paste wax jobs on your baby"?

My Challenger will only see the outdoors when the weather is nice. I will never...ever leave it unattended in any parking lot. Definitely plan on keeping it as close to mint as possible. Investing in the car cover will probably be my first accessory purchased. I don't plan on getting the add on rust protection.

I won't be getting it and I will be using my challenger as a daily driver -- this includes during the shitty michigan winters.

I'm not entirely sure yet how I will care for it during the winter months, but during the warmer months it will be washed regularly and hopefully waxed regularly. This is the first car I will actually care about to care for beyond the occasional drive-through car wash. I will likely hand-wash the car exclusively as a minimum.

My Challenger will be washed daily and be kept in mint condition with Meguiars NXT Tech Wax and Detail Spray.

Meguiars NXT Tech Wax is all I have been using for the last 3 years when it 1st came out and easily available at Walmart.

I am a big fan of polymer waxes and I have a 1999 Green Shiny Ford Taurus to prove it, but back then only Meguiars #20 polymer wax was available at dealerships and NXT was not out yet.
