Default Under-hood light

Just got done installing the hood struts (the struts that should have come standard on the R/T) on my R/T and noticed that there is no under-hood light. I love this car but I gotta say that Chrysler is really CHEAP.....can't even put an under-hood light in. BTW....makes me wonder where else they've skimped and gotten cheap on the stuff that we can't see ie; electronics, other components. Because of that, I've purchased the $100 deductible lifetime bumper/bumper warranty. I plan on keeping her a long time and you never know!

Yeah, it bugged me when my last TWO Grand Cherokees haven't had the under hood light either. SO this isn't something "new" for Chrysler to save $ on.

Yeah, I was showing the car off the other night after sundown and was not impressed with not having a light under the hood.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I wish they'd have made the power driver's seat optional and spent a few more cents on an underhood light, a center interior dome light, repositioned the trunk light on the inside of the trunk lid itself and added a trunk key hole.

Oh, I see what you're up to, Paladin. You're going to try to pass Crush as an 09! Not on my watch, bud!

How much horsepower does an under-hood light add?
