Default Various "Fun Facts" Collected via VinWIN

It look a while, but I wrote a script to run a query on all VINs from:

9H500000 through 9H543000
(Basically 43,000 VINs)

As far as I can tell from the registry those are the min/max of currently assigned VINs.

Of those VINs (remember, only VINs in D1+ will show up) this is some fun data I gathered.

Note: I only used VONs in the syntax of 8-digits, or A; E; R; Z followed by 7 digits. I believe this encompasses 'production' cars as I know VONs with M are manufacturer ones.

These are 2009 model year numbers only

6,528 TOTAL Challengers in D1+ Status (includes delivered cars)
3,082 Challenger SE models in D1+ Status (includes delivered cars)
2,775 Challenger R/T models in D1+ Status (includes delivered cars)
671 Challenger SRT8 models in D1+ Status (includes delivered cars)

Of those:
781 Bright Silver Metallic Clear Coat
2,133 Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat
442 Dark Titanium Met. Clear Coat
553 Deep Water Blue Pearl Coat
648 Inferno Red Crystal Pearl Coat
424 Hemi Orange Pearl Coat
591 Stone White Clear Coat
956 Torred

1,421 TOTAL Challengers have been delivered to dealers
1,197 Challenger SE models delivered
224 Challenger R/T models delivered
0 Challenger SRT8 models delivered

1,962 unique dealers listed

Note that this information was only current as of the night of 08/29/2008. This information has since changed.

Thats cool info.

Can you try to lookup a VIN from a VON since I don't trust the C status I have been stuck at while there are 671 at D1 status?

You can try. Just click on the link I posted which has the raw data available that I used. Then CTRL + F to use your browser's find option and pop in your VON. I checked my VON and a few friends' VONs too out of sheer curiosity

So, since the unofficial registry shows all vehicles, not just D1+. It shows the hemi orange leading at 35% and black second at 25%. So, as these orders progress, orange should overtake black?

Vent, you rock! Without your elite scripting abilities I would still think I'm in D status.

I'm really surprised Stone White isn't more popular, especially because of the Vanishing Point influence. Also, I read a story three or four months ago that white had become the new top-selling color overall for cars, edging out silver.
