Dealer called yesterday truck dropped my car off. I dont have time to go pick the car up, since I farm and harvest is going on ,the dealer will deliver on Monday they have been great to work with. I will take a quick drive when it arrives then back to work Ill let the wife enjoy .her birthday is today a one day late birthday gift she loves these cars too

GOOD FOR YOU AND YOUR WIFE!!!!!!! Hope you enjoy. What model is your Challenger and when did you order. Maybe that will give me some idea of how much longer I have to wait. I CAN'T STAND IT. I am beginning to understand Brucer and his claw hammer.

To all, thanks for the words of encouragement. To Fatcat, thanks for the rant! It is frustrating to say the least. I absolutely have it in my mind to reorder and I am ready to do so as the 6 speed has been the one option I have wanted for this car. But, I am going to go and check to make sure it is my car, it was built wrong and see what/where I can make the dealer/Dode/Chrysler pay for my misery. I am quite sure I can get at least $1K and may be closer to $2K. This will pay for the extras I have ordered as well. The pain is waiting longer (and yes I have stowed the claw hammer and have broke out the extra large tube of Testors). I really want to put some miles on the car before winter sets in and around here that happens very soon. Congrats to those who have gotten their cars, those whose status has moved them closer to their cars and in general thanks once again to all.

Has anyone ordered an RT and considered the available MOPAR chip to increase the HP. My dealer told me I could order the chip for less than $400.00 and my horsepower would increase to approximately 500 hp. NOT SURE IF THEY ARE PUMPING THAT UP. However, with the chip being a MOPAR chip it will not interfere with the lifetime warranty. Has anyone heard anything about the chip or had one put in.

Brucer, I don't blame you. As frustrating as it is GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR. Once you get YOUR car I am sure it will be worth the wait. Good Luck. I am in J status wanting to go to Canada and pick mine up. I am sure it would be faster.

I have a real hard time believing that Chrysler has detuned the 5.7L from 500hp to 370hp. Do they also say they can tune an SRT8 to 600hp? ;)

Tunes can indeed net you a few ponies, but nowhere near what they are claiming.

I'm not aware of any mopar chips out there. No clue what they'd be putting on. And you better bet that if there is it's going to be a "performance part" (Part# that starts with a "P") and thus has no warranty in of itself. Installing a mopar part like that would then void the drivetrain warranty.

Your dealer is not telling you the truth.
