Would you buy the V6?
I am so biased, I may be out of touch with reality. I see over and over that the Challenger should offer a V6 variant. Let's put this to rest. How many on this board would actually buy a V6? For the sake of argument, if the V6 were $6,000 dollars less than the V8, would that make you buy it? I say NO WAY am I buying the V6. But hey, you tell me.

RE: Would you buy the V6?
I wouldn'tbuy one myself; however, I think it's a mistake for DCX not to offer one. They need a base model entry-level version to offer those who don't want a big V8 version; too many potential sales to be ignored there. Most of the Mustangs sold, for example, are V6's.

I personally will more than likely buy a base Challenger with the 5.7 Hemi V8 because I will not be able to afford the higher priced 6.1-Hemi with all its options... Some people will want a Challenger just for the way it looks and will not be as interested in a V8 like some of us "motor-heads" out here would be.... Me personally if I COULD afford the 6.1, I would buy it instead, BUT, since I can't afford the $35,000+ that Dodge will be asking for one, I will instead opt for the next best choice, a base Challenger with the 350HP 5.7-HEMI V8...;):) |
RE: Would you buy the V6?
Looks like we agree that there must be a V6 option. As I have said before I see loads of V6 Stangs everyday but very few V8's.
I'm a V8 or not at all kind of guy.. |

RE: Would you buy the V6?
Well the Camry has been the #1 selling car in America for about 12 years now. Why you ask:
1. Cost 2. Styling 3. Reliability 4. Gas Milage 5. The confidence that the buying public has in Toyota's products. 6. Safety test proven in the top 5. That's a start on the facts.;) |
RE: Would you buy the V6?
V/8 for me but a V/6 must be offered to make this car more appealing to the masses cost wise.

RE: Would you buy the V6?
I agree, they should produce a V6 for those who want the cars styling but not the price tag to go with it. As for me, there is no way I'd buy a V6. V8 all the way baby[sm=gears.gif]Even if I have to wait and save a little longer!

I don't know, but the fact that there is alot of military bases and alot of pilots do their training around here, I think maybe a slight influence on just how many V8 Mustang-GTs we see on the roads around here... ;):D |
RE: Would you buy the V6?
