RE: 73 Challenger, RT clone, gonna buy?
My feeling on that is that if that is your dream car go for it. Hopefully you have some mechanical abilities and tools.
The main things I would look for is major rust on the body or frame, has it been wrecked, and does the engine work and if not what would it take to get it going.
If you are a gearhead, the above won't matter as you will find a way to fix up your $10K dream car. Of course, it will cost more after you are finshed but then you will be proud.
Good luck and please show pictures when you get a chance.

RE: 73 Challenger, RT clone, gonna buy?
Your topic title says 'Challenger', but the post says 'Charger'. Which is it? It does make a difference. If Charger, probably 10500 is high, Challenger, it may be worth it.... would need pics to really confirm, as condition would determine value. And FYI, for 73, there wasn't an R/T in either model to clone.

ORIGINAL: 1 Bad Mirada
hmmm..with that much work, even the 73 charger might be a good buy.
werent there two versions of the 383 in 69?

For what it's worth, the '73 & '74 Chargers are kind of the ugly step-children of the Charger world... followed closely by the 66 & 7's. Just haven't caught on and don't share the value iof their second generation counterparts. For 10K in a 73, you can get a numbers matching rust free original needing little to no work at all, even in a performance variant..... a nice 318 car can be bought for 5k. Just the realities of the market.
