61 yr old retired dallas firefighter. I ordered my 2012 challenger SRT8 auto.
love this car but have made mistakes upgrading the exhaust system.

went to the corsa sport, found it to be maybe to tame. put the corsa up forsale and bought the borla, too agressive for me. now i'm trying to make a deal with corsa to get the xtreme mufflers. costly mistake.

i think first thing to do with the challengers is remove the factory resonators and put straight pipe
to see how you like the sound from there.
most guys seem to think that is the best way to go unless they do major performance modifications.

I heard that drone is present when that is done.

you would need to listen to one in person, i say this because i think
most people know the word drone but dont actually know what it is
so they equate louder at speed with the word drone.

so far i have been in two late model challengers 1 auto 1 manual both
with a resonator delete and i heard no major resonance in the cabins

i hear that the 6spd manual sounds pretty good when the resenators are removed for strait pipes with the stock mufflers
