Hello to the group.
I found this site and decided to give it an try. The story on my side is pretty much what I have read in most of your posts. Wanted a Challenger since I was old enought to drive couldn't afford one till I slaved for about twenty years then bought one. I can say that it has been a blast. My son and I found our 72 Challenger in poor condition and have swilled beers and done the work ourselves. I have posted some pictures in the gallery of the project. Even though it is not perfect (yet) it means alot doing the work yourself. Anyway it is a 340 with the high performace heads (came from the factory as a six banger) It currently will run the quarter in 13.1 which is not too bad for pump gas. It has a 904 auto which I plan to change out for a t56 six speed as soon as I hit the lottery. Converted the front drums to Discs and spent my kids inheritance on parts. RE: Hello to the group.
Welcome aboard. I like your car and your sytle. I told my daughter that there is a very THIN line between her college fund and my dream car/retirement fund. The college fund could cross over to the Dark Side in the middle of the night while the whole world sleeps.;)
She gets my meaning!! |
