Looking at getting rid of the truck, for a challenger.
Hello all, I'm new here and was doing some research on the 6 cyl challenger, and forums are always a good hit on finding the good and the bad about the car. I have always loved the car since a child and my dad had one in the garage as a old project car. (never finished it due to heart problems and sold it) When the new ones came out I felt like a little kid again, but had a vehicle that was already paid for, so I didn't want to buy.
But I travel back and forth from SC to FL about 1-2 times a month, and my little truck just isn't comfortable. I went to a dealer and test drove a 6 cyl challenger and the guy claims it gets 31 mpg, and I think that is a little high. For those of you who drive the 6 cyl, what is your fuel economy like? And what in these cars seem to have 'issues'? What years should I avoid? Thanks all!

i know the 09/10 can get AS high as 30 mpg highway depending on how you drive, the 2011s may be a different story but real world in mine i average 20 around town and got as high as 27 on the highway running 75-80 my last trip to VA. this was with a K&N in box filter (not cai) installed also.
