mopars we wish we still had
we used to have a 71 plymouth roadrunner 440 4-speed when we were little kids,i remember my dad buying for my mom,and i still remember the day going to the salvage yard so the could claim it after they hauled it in,my dad and his brothers were drinking one night and someone stole it from the bar parking lot took it out and got chased from the police and ended up putting it over a coal strippings high wall, smashed and burnt to a crisp.my mom was gonna kill him over that it was her baby, that got me into mopars.currently i have a 71 charger se,i changed it over from a 318 to a 383 magnum,727,put a power bulge hood on it,front and back spoilers,r/t tail lights, tuff steering wheels, factory ralley wheels, and painted b-5 with the black r/t stripes.also have a 69 chevelle with a 392 hemi 4-speed,thats the way i found the car, someone chopped it pretty good but its different and i like it

Great Forum here! My best Mopar ever was my 1970 Road Runner Convertible. 383 w/727.
I ended up selling it to my cousin who did a rotissery resto. It's a trailer queen now. Also just sold my 71 Fish. Now I can afford the new Challenger in 08!

You had to open up those old wounds, didn't ya.... in no particular order, '66 Charger 383, '71 Charger SE 383, '67 GTX ragtop, '69 GTX ragtop, '71 GTX, '67 Coronet R/T- those are the ones I owned that I wish I still had. There's plenty of others that I had opportunities to get that I passed on that I wish I hadn't...

there is a 71 chaalenger sitting in my town on a four wheel drive frame, what a shame because it is a original r/t challenger.they ruined the r/t hood by cutting a hole in the center of it for a stupid snorkel hood scoop and the ruined the car by chopping it to put it on a four wheel drive frame and then power it by a jeep drivetrain

anybody remember the movie "vanishing point"??? that was one bad chaalenger.then they made a remake of that movie in the mid to late 90s and it premiered exclusively on fox tv,

i worked with a guy who had a 4wd 89 firebird. he unbolted the body frmo the frame and lifted it with a twin post lift, then rolled the chassis from a K5 under it, and welded everywhere that touched...then just welded random pieces of plate steel everywhere else that he could..it was poorly done, to say the least...
