Wow, revelation moment here!

Back in the 70's forums were conducted on Consumer Bandwidth radios! Tight!

Think about it, topic thrown out for all to hear and comment on, everyone has pseudonyms (handles/ScreenNames).....interesting......

Except there's no semi-speak or quasi-language (10/20, 10/4, breaker one one(one nine...whatever your favorite) or any of that but still, interesting......

Wonder if there was any thing prior to this.....one could argue coffee shops for beatniks, pubs for the rest of us I guess......Piccadilly circus if you're a limey....still...interesting parallel...

Someone was mentioning 8tracks on another thread.....as I glance over at the lava lamp on my desk.....

Welcome aboard Wedgehead! You have come aboard just as the Challenger is getting ready to be unveiled. Sweet!

I have never heard it called Consumer Bandwidth radios......where did that come from?

This is funny. I actually have 3 8-track tapes sitting behind my desk.

Jeremiah, that's what (if I'm not mistaken) the "C" and "B" were for in CB (consumer bandwidth) radios. That was the fcc portion of the spectrum allotted for civilians!

Yeah, my handle at the very tender age of 6 was T-Bird.
