I am just curious...

Thanks in advance!

I think it's in 130mph range.
But I have heard of stock R/T's going at around 150 or so.

I was told 145 but my eyes told me 150. But I am 50 years old and my eyesight is not what it used to be. But with my Diablo Preditor it will be terminal velocity. Look out 170.

I saw Gary Scelzi on "TEST DRIVE" on the speed channel driving an SRT8 Challenger on the Bonneville salt flats. He had it going 180 and said it was still pulling without having the pedal burried to the floor. They are faster than most people can handle that's for sure.

To quote Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry policeman " my top end is unlimited". LOL

Mine is bone stock right now, and I've EASILY gotten it to about 115 and it was nowhere near the end.. keep in mind though, I wasn't trying to really open her up, I just wasn't paying attention to my speed, just started enjoying driving it too much..

This car is too much fun for my own good! :P

I knew I was in for speeding tickets when I hit 90 in 4th at about 3500 RPMs.. haha

I believe the top speed on the R/T is 145 mph (rev limited).

The SRT's top speed is 173 mph.

I saw that and was at the El Mirage dry lake bed. He got to 170 but said nothing about still pulling. I heard officially it was 174, but I'm splitting hairs, it's faster than most of us will run it up to anyways.

Within the range of 150 i guess

Just for comparison, in this week's SRT Engineers' Chat Session, the topic of top speed came up. This is what they said about the 2009 SRT 6-speed:

"The SRT8 at 130 mph generates about 60 lbs of downforce at the rear and about 150 lbs of lift at the front. That is MUCH better than most manufacturers in the industry who make much more lift. The R/T is less aggressive on both ends. The SRT airdam is better than the R/T one. You want aero understeer in the car to compensate for the natural instability as speed increases. This is why racecars have more wing in the back than splitter in the front. More down always feels better, but we have to balance aero downforce with drag.

The fastest I have gotten the '09 Challenger SRT8 up to is 181 mph (rev limiter in 5th, manual trans) with a tailwind on our test oval. Our full scale wind tunnel goes up to 140 mph. There is not much reynolds effect on the Challenger, so the aero numbers stay proportional with speed."
