im working on a piece right now about the collectability being hurt by all of these "Special editions" right now...this makes something like the 34th trimline of sorts offered on the ford mustang in the last 3 years, and i believe that 28 of them are "special editions"

Great. I'd like to see an all inclusive list of Mustangs since the retro release.

some of them are very obscure...like the Warriors in Pink mustangs, or the various roush models...or the foose stallion.

I find it odd that they pick Dan Gurney, who did a great deal of winning behind the wheel of a Plymouth Cuda AAR.

I can image that having all those silly special editions would hurt the value. The only one that should matter is the top of the line, conventional models. Just giving it a different name and so forth does not really change the car. It's like they adapted that ridiculous collector's concept from those goofy "beany babies" and implemented on cars. Before you know it, they will have models that are flawed from the factory with parts missing and charge more for them because they are "special." "Yes, this is the '500' model because it has defective breaks, flat tires, bent rims, a cracked exhaust system, a dead battery, and no seat belts! That's an extra $5K to the price and remember that the minuet they are fixed the exclusiveness is gone and the "Lifetime Warranty" does not apply to the '500" model, and why is it named the '500' model you ask? Because that is how many we were able to build from the warped parts that were left over from our inventory!"

I find it more pleasurable to own my mustang that I bought with the basic package and have improved on looks and a little bit of performance.
