Default The best present/ thank you ever.

Well the best ever i hope, my best friend has been in iraq over a year now and in 6 months he will be home hopfuly for good. So in the process of his deployment ive been working on a little gift for him. he alyayws wanted a 93 trans am, when we were in grade school he loved this car to death and still does. Well i accuired the car and am getting it painted, and getting everything he always had chosen for it bought and installing it myself. Some of the things so far is an lt4 cam clutch kit and aluminum fly wheels 3:73 rear end, wheels, paint, headers magnaflow exhaust fully polished and many other things. When he gets back we are going to pick him up in the car at the airport with a huge bow on top. Hope he likes it.
Enjoy
Then me and him can cruise together me in my chally or nova or camaro, and him in hi 6 speed trans am!

That'll be a tremendous well-deserved tribute. I've still got my 78 Formula (remember those?), I've always had a soft spot for the GM F-bodies.

I'm curious to ask... what's special about a 93 Trans Am in particular to your friend? The styling stayed exactly the same from 93-97... is there something sentimental about the year of 1993 or something? Just being nosey.

I'm sure your friendship is a gift in itself, but that is a beautiful thing to do.

Be sure to tell him for all of us how much we appreciate his sacrifice.

Well when we were in grade school together 1993 was the first year they changed the body dramaticaly since we were born in 1983, his dad owned and still ownes a 1982 firebird se. He thought the new style was awsome and still loves the pointy nose rans ams today. So i cant wait to see his face when he gets this car. Ill post more pics, its going for paint next week.
