Camaro in Hemi Orange?

I don't know what to think when I see this but I just walked past a magazine rack and damned if this doesn't look like a Camaro dressed for Halloween in a Challenger paint job. What do you think? Ripoff? No big deal?

I didn't actually notice that before. Good point thought. GM likes to rip off of the Chrysler Group's styling and other stuff, so this isn't too surprising.

I think that Chevrolet offered that color or something really close back in '69. I think it was called Grabber Orange or Hugger Orange or something like that but it normally came with White Stripes so I agree that this is probably more than just a coincidence lol.

Did you read the article? its for the up coming movie "Transformers". The Dodge Charger in "Dukes of Hazzard" Orange paint was a GM(firebird) paint job everyone thinks it was Hemi orange but its not! So No I dont think its a ripoff

I had read an article some time ago about the Transformers movie some turkey had written. The piece pointed out that DCX missed an opportunity to showcase Challenger and supposedly GM paid a bunch of money to have the Camaro in it. I think I posted it somewhere in this forum. I say no big loss. As for the paint job the orange paint is suspect. The two black stripes up the hood really have my eyebrows raised. I'll have to crack open the Hot Rod article and check it out.

I think DCX doesnt always do a good job at marketing, but they have the new dodge challenger, charger and 300 in a new up comming video game "Need For Speed:Carbon". Which im looking fowrad to playing. I think they need to promote the car in some new movies like the camaro

I agree promotion is good...just need to be selective. In my opinion Transformers is the wrong demographic. Las time I checked 9 year olds aren't buying many cars. I love the video game idea. In fact, I am not a big gamer but I bought the Flat-Out game & it's pretty cool.

They need to target a younger crowd like 18-25years cause that is the ages where every asian car company targets for tuners. Thats why I think transformers would have been good cause the generation that watched transfromers is going to see this movie. Im 21 and im going to see this movie. I grew up watching transfromers. The new camaro is going to sell better then the dodge challenger and mustang, BUT I will still buy my Challenger!!!
