Cheap Car!

In today's newspaper there was an article about Nissan partnering with Renault and an Indian motocycle company (Bajaj) to produce a no-frills economy car for about $3,000!

I wonder if it will fall apart as soon as you hit the first bump or if it rains on it?
:D

Yeah....I heard the Indian auto makers have been tinkering with a waterbased weld flux that's been having some issues......that would be impressive....apparently they've perfected the mfging process for airbags...remember when it cost $1000 for each one.......if that were still the case....$1000 bucks for the rest of the car. Sounds Yugo-Tastic!

I think they make em out of clay & call them the Adobe. If you get in a fender bender you just get out and re-sculpt the bumper by hand. [8D]

Don't forget if you are in a fender bender rear ender in a PINTO they follow a recyling program where they automatically burn up.LOL

RE: Cheap Car!

Years ago when I was in the rental car business we would mess with the customers that would not upgrade from the subcompact Geo Metro (or similar[8D]). We offered them a "mini-waver" CDW/LDW for $3-4 per day that covered up to $500 worth of damage and said (with straight face) in the case of these cars that covers the entire value...[:-]

You'd be surprised how many people missed the joke and just nodded in agreement.
