Porsche 911 GT2
Porsche bills the GT2 as the fastest production 911 to date. The rear-wheel drive sports car has a 520-horsepower six-cylinder engine and a six-speed manual transmission. It can accelerate to 60 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds, Porsche says. While the GT2's turbocharged engine produced 50 horsepower more than the 911 Turbo, fuel economy is improved by about 15 percent at peak power, Porsche says. When the car goes on sale in November, its price in Germany will be 159,000 euros, equivalent to about $219,000. |

Lamborghini Reventon
Lamborghini upped the ante on absurd car prices when it unveiled the Reventon sports car in Geneva Tuesday. Volkswagen's supercar subsidiary will produce just 20 of these cars for sale to "friends and collectors" at a price of 1 million euros each. That's almost $1.4 million. The exterior of the 650-horsepower car is made entirely of carbon fiber laid over a carbon fiber and steel frame. Inside, the Reventon's instrument panel, modeled after that in a modern jet, is made up of three customizable liquid crystal displays. a G-force display show longitudinal forces in a 3-dimensional image. The Reventon is named for the bull that killed Felix Guzman, a renowned bullfighter, in 1943. |

I'm sorry guys, but those (for the most part) are as much ugly as I've seen in one place in a long time. Man what is the auto styling coming to.

In other words, a rich mans car a poor mans dream.

RE: From the Frankfurt Auto Show
I'd rather have a Viper over the Porsche. I believe the Viper is a little bit faster and a lot less expensive. As for the Lambo, I'd go with a modified Viper first; besides, I like Ferrari better personally. Thanks for the posting, Jeremiah.

RE: From the Frankfurt Auto Show
i totally agree 700... it is not only the cost benefit (the accountant in me) but i personally think the style of the viper blows both the lambo and porsche away at any price.
