Hemi powered Cop cars?

Hemi powered Cop cars?
The police department, in the small town I live in, has purchased a Dodge Charger(s). I have seem them around town and they look very intimidating. The other night I was sitting on the porch and this Charger Police Interceptor drove past my house at I'm guessing 80-90 mph. Its a 25 mph street, lol. this car was moving and it almost seemed as if the cops were enjoying themselves because after they passed me he got on it real hard and what a sweet sound it was!!! It was a 5.7 model with duel exhaust and large rims with big fat tires!

I haven't seen any around here, but would be pretty dumb to buy new cars when LAPD is lacking in personnel.
But the Burbank Police are doing fine, so maybe they will get some in.

Im hoping my department well buy them. Their contract with ford ended because a ford plant closing. I know they have looked at them. Some people were saying we arent getting them cause Chevy is supposed to have more room in the back seat. WHO CARES?! MOST of the people I arrest are laying down in the back seat! One good thing the charger has that my department will need is the performance, cause everyone tries to run from US!

I guarantee the town I'm currently in won't have them because the fool who owned the Chrysler dealership lost his business because he cheated on his wife with one of the employees. You can't get away with that in a small town. After everyone heard about it, they boycotted him and he was gone.
The funny thing is that the police in this town use 2000-2004 Impalas; whereas, the rent-a-cops on campus, who probably never drive any faster 40 mph drive Crown Vics. The rent-a-cops have better pursuit vehicles than the real cops in terms of acceleration and top speed.

The side of this car should read "Protect and Speed" based on your story.

Any of you kids here in Arizona seen Sheriff Joe's Chargers? Those cars are WICKED! They are all dark olive green with yellow lettering and black wheels. I saw one in Tempe a few months back, and that car looked awesome!
On the subject of Hemi Cop Cars, There are reportedly six or seven (or so) 1966 Coronet four door sedans ordered with the Hemi! Most of them were ordered by the FBI for undercover work (!) and a few were actually unleased into the general public (a red and blue one). I think the red car resides in the Garlits Museum.

Is Sheriff Joe the kick ass sheriff that has prisoners dressed in pink and makes them stay in tents?
