I woke up about 2:00 this morning in tears. Serious! I had just dreamed of picking up my new Challenger! I felt awesomely invigorated although I won't be able to get one until 2009. They were happy tears, no doubt, but I thought I would share regardless. I'm looking forward to more of these dreams to sustain me until I own one!

 

My wife woke me up last night around 3:00am and told me she had a bad dream. Seems we were driving through the desert in my '09 Challenger in her dream, and she said I just "left her there". I told her to go back to sleep and I'd "come pick her up".


Seriously though..... Thinking more and more about the day Dodge starts taking orders on the '09's so I can place the order for my Brilliant Black Peralcoat Metallic 6 speed SRT8.....and chewing my fingernails down during the ensuing three month wait for it to be built and arrive.

I like that... go back to sleep and I'll pick you up. Cracks me up! My mind does not work that fast when I come out of a dead sleep.

And Boot- Oh wow! Did you really say that! LOL! I don't think I would even have the cajones to say a thing to my wife like that.

Don't want to rain on your parade, but when my sister ordered her PT Cruiser when they came out. Her baby took nine months to arrive.[sm=americanasmiley.gif]

 

I honestly think Bootcamp offered to come pick her up as an excuse to take that Challenger for another drive!

Under ANY conditions, guys, I have a hard time knowing when to shut my mouth. At least when I'm semi-conscious, I have an excuse for saying something thoughtless or abrupt. The rest of the time, I have to justify the words I utter.
I believe that's exactly what I was thinking.

Dodge Favre ever;
I can't wait nine months for the order to come in. I'm hoping with the availability of the SE and the R/T, the demand for SRT8's will diminish and mine MIGHT get built sooner than later (though I doubt it since they all come off of the same line). It'll probably be a "get in line and wait it out" deal.

Reminds me of the excite when I was a kid of when I was expecting Santa Clause to arrive with my new minibike.

 

The only dreams I have had about anticipating getting something I wanted badly was one dream where we had a color television (we were the last to get everything), my Sega Genesis (which I still have and it still works but mostly collects dust), a dream about getting my Intrepid (this happened during a time when my 96 Olds Ciera was giving me a lot of problems), and that is about it.

 

I believe I'm starting to get numb. The more post I read, the further my challenger gets. And don't ask Dodge, either corporation or dealerships they know nothing. We on the CF know way more, And Dodge 1800 number is sickening, for one you have to repeat yourself or ask them to repeat theirselves way to much. Is this America or what. They just as well need not to have 1 800 #, as far as I'm concerned. Their knowledge is limited, very, very limited but that is Dodge's fault. I do believe I was the first to post debut during the challenger 500, and more and more it is coming to past very soon. I'm still in D, and it is hard to believe that I can't even get a hint, when I threw down my hard earned money, and was at the dodge dealership before they opened on 12/3 to place my order.
I understand some things thaty are going on, but come on Dodge throw us a bone 5 months is long enough. And I certainly feel for all you C guys and gals out there.
If Dodge is going to wait or hinder the delivery of the 08"s they just might as well put the boston acoustics in my car. What is the difference between 08's & 09's just a month or week and a badge.
